Rosie + Patrick's Spanish Hills Wedding

One of the hardest part of this Wedding for me… choosing which photos to post on this BLOG!! Ok, I’m slightly teasing but Rosie was the most beautiful Bride with Patrick her LAFD Groom and deciding which photos to post was really hard (they were all so great!). Ha! I think the number one comment I get about her… she looks like Megan Markle!! I totally agree. This was one of the best parties with some of my favorite vendors too! Rosie said something during her speech that has remained with me. She said “I have waited 37 years for this, this was so special to me.” and it made me remember how incredible this job is. Genuinely making dreams come true! I love reminiscing every second of this special day.

Rosie and I carefully planned every aspect of this day. From their traditional Catholic aspects to their Ceremony to the Mariachi at Cocktail Hour, their Military Sword Grand Entrance and their beautifully choreographed first dance. Rosie surprised her Groom with a Sonora Dinamita tribute band and the Groom’s crew from the LAFD surprised the Bride with a CORED cake! If you haven’t seen this before… its terrifying for the Vendors, haha! But a tradition for all Firemen getting hitched!

Everything turned out literally perfect. I look over these photos with so much pride and nostalgia. I can truly say Rosie has become a friend and I’m so honored to have been her Wedding Planner!!

Nicole & Ryan say "I Do!"

Nicole and Ryan’s beautiful Sherwood Country Club Wedding was nothing short of a dream. With some of the very best vendors, their day was filled with custom special moments. Not only is Nicole one of the sweetest, but she’s also a very talented cookie decorator! We were able to see her special cookies at each table setting and her soft palette of Blush, Burgundy and Gold, accentuated the Ballroom’s aesthetic well.

Jolie and Will Ring In The New Year

From the first time Jolie and I spoke, we hit it off. I felt an immediate connection and wanted to truly make this an incredible Wedding for her and her fiance Will. Jolie shared that they chose New Years Eve as their Wedding date, because her Mom (and incredible former Wedding Planner herself) had been experiencing some health issues and she wanted to truly ring in the New Year with her closest friends and family. As we navigated through the planning process I learned Jolie was innovative and determined. She would come up with an idea and do everything she could to ensure she had the most cost effective and best option possible. Jolie and Will were engaged at an Alpaca farm in Carpinteria. So, through the planning process Jolie decided she wanted to invite a few Alpaca friends to her Wedding, to surprise her guests. And Oh were they a surprise! Not only were we able to hang out with two adult Alpacas and two babies but they even had outfit changes!! Starting out in their formal Wedding attire and switching to their New Years Eve get-ups! Jolie’s entire Wedding style came together beautifully, she intermixed their love for contemporary art with soft Boho style accents. Which meshed well with the Fess Parker Inn decor. A friend of theirs custom drew their invitations and their table numbers were an homage of some of their favorite contemporary artists. All in all, it was an incredible experience working with Jolie and Will on their dream day. Here are a few highlights-

Diana & Adam's Great Gatsby Wedding!

Diana (the beautiful bride) and I both went to the same High School and we were teammates on the HS Dance Team. So, when she came to me about her ideas of a Great Gatsby themed Wedding, I was so excited and honored. Not only is Diana genuinely an amazing person but Adam (her groom) truly completes her. They mesh so well together and of course this… makes it even more enjoyable to help them plan their day.

Diana did most of the decor design herself. As you can tell, her amazing eye for design made her theme truly stand out in a classy (non-cheesy way). I was so taken back at the room when it was complete, the design truly did her theme right and we really enjoyed making her ideas come to life.

Every guest got into it too, from beautiful flapper dresses to canes and flat caps. Guests came dressed up and ready to party!

Surprise! It's our Wedding Day!

When Nicole called me one morning, we had an instant bond. Tania the Director of the Private Club in Santa Monica sent Nicole my way. She and her fiance Brad were planning her Engagement Party which she wanted to shock her guests with the news that it was actually their Wedding. And shock them, did they! Working with some of the industries best vendors we created the most amazing day. Located at the private Beach Club in Santa Monica the venue offered beach front views, clean, white accents and the salty breeze.

About an hour into cocktail hour, a long time friend of theirs got up on stage in the middle of the room for a toast. He announced with pride, “Since we are all here already, how about we just marry them now.” To say the least, Nicole and Brad kept their secret from EVERYONE so this their guests erupted into genuine cheers and screams.

In her insanely beautiful Ralph Lauren Dress she said “I Do” to her best friend. And I genuinely cried. Its always an honor to be apart of someone’s Wedding, but I was so happy for the much deserving Nicole. With that, they danced their way into the night.

Mariam and Marc's Downtown LA Wedding

Mariam and Marc are a laid back, happy couple who were just excited to be together with their large families for the Celebration. As the Coordinator, I truly enjoy getting to know them and their families. We started the day off at the incredible Intercontinental Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles. The Bridal Suite was breathtaking, a corner room on the 63rd Floor with endless views of Los Angeles. Their First look took place on the roof of the Hotel, which after taking a glass elevator up was the perfectly peaceful spot for a quiet moment together.

Their Ceremony was held at the St. Mark Coptic Church in Beverly Hills which is where Mariam's Father is a Priest. The Traditional Egyptian Orthodox Church was a beautiful setting for their blessings as a new Husband and Wife.

After the Ceremony we quickly took off to the glamorous LA Banquets Glenoaks Ballroom in Glendale, for their Cocktail Hour and Reception. The all white and gold room was stunning as guests arrived for a traditional dinner and dancing.

Molly and Dan's Tropical California Wedding

The classic venue at Moorpark Country Club was the perfect spot for Molly and Dan’s tropical beachy vibe wedding this past September. This beautiful outdoor event was truly focused around the relaxed couple and their laid back personalities. Instead of having a beach Wedding, the couple chose to utilize the outdoor garden and lawn setting of the Country Club to bring the tropics to them.

As the Venue Director of their Wedding at the Moorpark Country Club, I was particularly excited to work with Molly and Dan. Their amazing Wedding Planner of Wheat and Honey was incredible to work with. One of Molly’s best friends and bridesmaids Kaylee brought the couple to the Club. Kaylee’s incredible design background was immediately apparent as she laid out a gorgeous palette of colors and since she worked as a designer with Unique Floral Designs, I knew we were going to have the most gorgeous statement pieces!

I've mentioned this note in a few of my Social Media posts but at one point during the Wedding, Molly stopped and looked at me and said something you don't hear a Bride say all that ofter... “I just want to run in this dress.” She then grabbed either side of her dress and started running through the lawn. I burst into laughter. The joy was exuberayting through her and it made her want to RUN! It was so sweet and exactly how Molly was the entire day... happy.

The entire day was filled with joy. Their amazing vendors did an incredible job. From the elaborate custom made arch by TG and Company and Tropical Centerpieces by Unique Floral Designs and beautiful statement signs by The Kouples Designs, Elevated Music and DJ services by DJ FX, Bistro Lighting by SB Paradise Music, a fun a whimsical cake display by Nothing Bundt Cakes. The entire day was amazing. I was extremely excited to receive the beautiful gallery of photos by Nicole Henshaw Photography, she did an amazing job capturing every moment.
